It started the day I decided to begin again. I opened my computer and started gathering old folders, emails, photographs, videos. I only meant to prepare a few workshops. I was looking forward, not back. But every folder revealed another piece. An email. A photograph. A stage. A boarding pass. A certificate. Individually, they were just memories. Together, they became proof — proof of a life I had forgotten I had lived. It wasn’t that I found a treasure. I finally put the pieces together, and realized I had been standing on it all along. I didn’t become a new person. I didn’t gain a new talent. I didn’t build a new career. For the first time, I simply saw — as a whole — the value I already had.
The Career Behind the Story
Yeliz Kaya’s journey began with a passion for the craft — and grew into one of the most respected international careers in professional hair education. Over 18 years, she has trained professionals in more than 40 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Her academy in the Netherlands became more than a training centre. It evolved into a space where beginners took their first professional steps, and where seasoned stylists, salon owners and educators from across the world came to refine their craft, expand their vision and elevate their careers.
